ABOUT THE COMPANY
Full Circle Dance Company is a multiethnic professional ensemble that performs exciting choreography from a variety of modern dance traditions.  Drawing on the diverse backgrounds of its dancers and choreographers, the company works in a collaborative spirit to bring technically stunning and emotionally challenging dance to a wide audience. At its inception in 2000, Full Circle Dance Company was invited to perform its original, signature work, “Spirits Fallen,” at New York’s Broadway Dance Center’s Choreographers’ Performance Outlet following a competitive selection process. The company was then chosen for the “Best of …” Choreographers' Showcase at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center. Full Circle Dance Company has performed multiple times by invitation at Baltimore’s ever-popular Artscape Festival and the Maryland Council for Dance Festival Concert. The company has participated in DanceBaltimore productions at the Morris Mechanic and the Hippodrome Theaters, the special production on the life and works of Edgar Allan Poe at the Baltimore Museum of Art and in the museum’s 90th anniversary celebration. Also included in the company’s expansive performance listings are numerous performances at Stephens Hall at Towson University, the James Rouse Theatre for the Performing Arts and McDonogh School as well as performances at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. The Full Circle Dance Company is resident at the Morton Street Dance Center, Inc. The important partnership between school and company creates opportunities for professional dancers to share their knowledge and experience with young dancers in training.
