-Seek to improve alignment to enable more advanced work including pointe
-Want to improve turns, leaps and jumps

CONSERVATORY INCLUDES:

-One extra, exclusive ballet class per week.

-Dancers are given an elegant class-specific uniform: beautiful leotard, ballet skirt, and cover-up (see images below).

-Dancers may have the opportunity for an additional performance

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

AM I ELIGIBLE?

-Take an appropriate level ballet at MSDC

-Attend MSDC classes at Level 2 classes or above

-Write an interest essay of 200 words or more
-Obtain a recommendation from one or more dance instructors
-Interview with MSDC staff

HOW DO I APPLY?

Conservatory applications are now available. Applications are due on or before August 1, 2022. The application period is exclusively open to current MSDC students from July 1st through July 10th; the application opens to the general public on July 11th.

An application will not be considered complete until the applicant has completed the MSDC faculty interview and secured and submitted a letter of recommendation. Don't delay and risk missing an opportunity to schedule the interview before the deadline.

**Two levels: I and II; level placement is in the sole discretion of MSDC
**The Conservatory is specially priced for the 2022-2023 school year at $650,
including the dance wear. There is a $100 nonrefunable fee to reserve your spot, if accepted in the program.
